Summary

Whilst not uncritical of ‘Big Society’ thinking, this new course engages with the trend towards local action in a context of global awareness. Looking at the values, skills and knowledge – including legal knowledge – that are involved in running an effective campaign, the course will build towards an in-depth study of a particular campaigning organisation of the student’s own choice.
