As soon as I started my CertHE History course I knew I was involved in something different to anything I had experienced previously at school. The course was challenging me to think, see, react and express myself in new and often unfamiliar ways.

Public History has now become a major part of my life; and the writing of it remains a constant source of pleasure

My time at Ruskin has been both stimulating and rewarding. I have found the return to education inspiring to say the least

I have discovered a thirst for knowledge and that I am a radical feminist!

This course has given me real insight into areas I thought that I had made up my mind about already. It has introduced me to new concepts and approaches and helped me to think in a fresh way, and to question and analyse before forming opinions. These are useful life skills as well as academic tools

Certificate of Higher Education in History

This is a two-year part time, or one-year full time undergraduate course that is the equivalent to the first year of university level study.
