Writing for Performance Foundation Degree 'Taster Day'

To find out more about this brand new course for would-be authors and meet the newly appointed tutor who will give you a taste of the teaching. During the day, information will also be given on how to apply and how to get funding.

Foundation Degree in Writing for Performance  

The Writing for Performance Foundation Degree course will start in October 2010 and will last two years full time or four years part time.  

The course will cover all kinds of performance writing for yourself and others including:

•    play-writing

•    song lyrics

•    performance poetry

•    scriptwriting and screen writing  

You will also gain skills relating to:

•    leading or assisting on community writing projects

•    training as a writer in prisons or schools

•    working in theatre-in-education to develop resource packs and marketing for schools

•    copy writing for leaflets

•    websites and promotions (including promoting your own work)

•    finding agents and work outlets
