Emma co-ordinates the short course provision, including Ransackers. She studied English Literature and her MA focused on Women's literature.

She regularly teaches Creative Writing Short Courses as well as tutoring Ransacker students.

She is very interested in finding ways that issues around Climate Change and sustainability can be developed in education and is particularly interested in the potential role of the arts in helping tackle climate change.

She has had plays produced for stage and radio as well as publishing numerous articles.

She has also worked as a script reader for several organisations and is currently working with Oxford University Environmental Change Unit on a creative writing project.
