I am very proud to both be an ex Ruskin student and now, as a recently qualified post graduate, to be a tutor in the Ruskin short course team.

 

My background is in Social Sciences; particular( but not exclusive) areas of interest include sociology of the media and education, both of which I teach as short courses. I also enjoy tutoring in the field of sociological research methodologies and skills.

 

Women's Studies is also a passion, I have taught at Cert HE level, specialising in the representations of women in the media plus women and mental health. Currently I am studying for my MA in Women's Studies; my research interests include the social construction of gender and how issues of gender awareness are addressed in teacher training.
